WHAT IS OEKO-TEX?

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is an independent international testing and certification system that grades textile products and raw materials in terms of their environmental and ecological safety.

Standard certification is granted to textile products that fulfill the requirements for health precautions and for avoiding or limiting the use of specific raw materials. Producers that carry the standard thus guarantee the reliability of their products in international markets.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 criteria are grouped into four categories: babywear, clothing having skin contact, clothing having no skin contact, and home textiles. The criteria become progressively stricter as the skin contact ratio of a product increases.

Manufacturers of the dyes and raw materials that are used in products which have obtained the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate have to guarantee that they do not use, or use only within prescribed limits, the harmful materials listed by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Setaş products have been tested against the necessary criteria, and the raw materials listed by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 are used accordingly during production.
